!!! The Lenny Kravitz concert in Prague – a dream

! Leonard Albert "Lenny" Kravitz was born on May 26, 1964, which means he is 60 years old

Lenny is an American singer-songwriter, music producer, and actor of Jewish descent. His mother came from a Christian family from the Bahamas, with African-American heritage, while his father was of Ukrainian-Jewish descent.

Kravitz did not grow up in a religious environment. After a spiritual experience at the age of 13, he began praying regularly and became a Christian.

He wrote an album titled "Baptism" and even tattooed "My Heart Belongs to Jesus Christ" on his back.

Nevertheless, recently he began wearing a huge "Chai" pendant necklace around his neck and even shared it on his Instagram. I saw it live around his neck at the concert, and it was very, very moving.

He has released 12 albums, with the first one, Let Love Rule, coming out in 1989, and the latest, Blue Electric Light, released in 2024. He won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance four consecutive times from 1999 to 2002.

Lenny is a vegan who follows a very strict diet. He lives in an eco-friendly wooden cabin in the Bahamas, surrounded by wild nature, where he practices his healthy nutrition principles. His private garden provides most of his food – fruits, vegetables, legumes, and organic nuts, which he mostly consumes in their natural state, without processing them. According to him, he almost never eats processed foods, avoids shopping in supermarkets, and believes that a clean, plant-based diet is the secret to longevity and constant vitality.

His training routine is based on a meticulous program that includes functional exercises, strength training, and bodyweight exercises. Instead of training in fancy gyms, he chooses the outdoors, working out under the Caribbean sun. Among the exercises he performs are pull-ups, sit-ups, squats, and push-ups, with the addition of free weights. Additionally, he incorporates yoga and flexibility exercises into his routine, understanding that full range of motion is important not only for body sculpting but also for joint health and reducing the risk of injury. An integral part of his training routine is regular sleep – he avoids screens at night and ensures sufficient rest, believing that the body needs recovery time equal to the time spent training.

After two years of dating, on November 16, 1987, he married actress Lisa Bonet on her 20th birthday. In 1988, the couple had a daughter, actress and singer Zoë Kravitz. In 1991, Kravitz and Bonet separated, and in 1993, they divorced. Kravitz dated French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis from 1992 to 1996. He began dating Brazilian model Adriana Lima in 2001, and they lived together before getting engaged in 2002. The engagement was called off in April 2003. He then dated briefly and became engaged to Australian actress Nicole Kidman between 2003 and 2004.

In October 2012, Lenny was supposed to perform in Israel, but in August, he canceled his performance. The reason was a prior commitment to a film production he was involved in, and other performances he was supposed to do were also canceled – including ones in Kyiv, Sofia, and Istanbul.

:-)And now, let’s get to the “business,” after all, it’s Lenny

I’ve loved Lenny since I was very young, I love how he looks (in my opinion, he’s one of the most hot men in the world), I love how he sings, I love how he plays, I’m crazy about his rhythm, I just love him.

He has a few songs that, for me, are "timeless classics," the most notable among them are: Let Love Rule, Are You Gonna Go My Way, Believe, and his latest single Honey, which is one of the sweetest ever.

Lenny combines rock, funk, electronic music, and gospel – basically everything I love.

A few months ago, I came across an ad for his European tour on Instagram, and I was breathless. I decided there was no way I was missing this show. I did a little research on where he was performing and decided Prague was perfect for me.

Prague is an affordable destination, very friendly to Israelis these days, and I’ve been there twice before, so I know my way around. It’s also perfect for a short vacation, for the concert, and then to return.

My besties weren’t into it, but I decided that wouldn’t stop me – I’d find another partner. After all, I had enjoyed traveling alone before, so what’s the difference?

I posted on Facebook looking for a partner, and I found one – Abigail :-), thank you, for going with me!!!

After setting mutual expectations, we set off and arranged everything we needed – 4 days in Prague:

I booked flights with Blue Bird, a cheap and nice airline. There’s no service on the flight, but the flight attendants were very kind and immediately moved us to the emergency exit seats without us asking (I’ve always said it pays to smile :-)). The flight times were convenient, and we added a trolley and a suitcase each, costing us 1,400 NIS per person.

A large, spacious apartment that allowed us both privacy – 130 square meters. It was outdated but very clean, with comfortable beds. The location was super central, right by the clock, which means, along with the amazing location, it was also noisy, so that’s something to consider. It was on the third floor without an elevator, which was a bit tough. It cost 1,500 NIS for both of us, 750 NIS each for 5 nights, including breakfast. To be honest, if I had known it would be this noisy and on the third floor without an elevator, I would have looked for a different apartment – there’s no shortage of options in Prague.

Tickets for the concert – I bought them on the Viagogo website. The seats were far but good, with a great view. They cost us 900 NIS per ticket, and in hindsight, it was worth every shekel, and I would have paid more to be closer.

A Prague city tour by the lovely Mika, an Israeli living there. It was a two-hour tour, thorough, and gave a lot of insight. I highly recommend it.

A bit of searching, a bit of wandering, I opened my usual list of places that interest me on Google Maps and called it "Lenny Kravitz in Prague" – and off we go!

Important – there are also ready-made packages for the concert, hotel, and flights, but they’re significantly more expensive. If you know how to do it yourself, do it.

AND NOW… THE SHOW:-)

The concert was at the O2 Arena in Prague, a huge, clean, organized, and well-ventilated stadium. There were a LOT of people, I didn’t know that so many people love Lenny, and yet the lines were organized, and we didn’t feel crowded or cramped.

I enjoyed this concert more than any other concert I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to quite a few.

His warm, deep voice, his playing, his amazing band (who is that bassist???), the stage, the sound, the beauty :-), everything was simply perfect. I sat mesmerized, torn between the desire to take pictures and capture the moment and the desire to just surrender to the performance and listen.

Lenny performed with a huge "Chai" pendant around his neck, which really warmed my heart. He was so grateful to the audience and to the opportunity to move people, and it was just amazing. One of the videos shows this incredible man's gratitude, definitely worth watching!!!

In conclusion, I highly recommend going to see him and not waiting too long… the guy is 60!

You can find his upcoming concerts here.

As you’ve probably gotten to know me a little, I’m a woman of dreams, both big and small, and I make a real effort to fulfill as many of them as I can.

Although I didn’t find any friends who wanted to join me, I showed resourcefulness and found a travel partner. I sat and thought beforehand whether it was really important to me, I thought about the implications of going on a trip with a woman I barely know, and I decided it was important enough to me, and I still wanted to go – I’m very glad I did.

I already know what my next concert will be… want a hint?
